Our 1982 Hayward skimmers have a male-threaded piece inside the back of the skimmer with slits around it for drainage if it overflows. We have never had the caps that go with it - has anyone ever seen this set up and can anyone make recommendations on where to get the caps for them?
I have three photos on my laptop but don't know how to attach them to this post.

Has anyone ever seen this setup on a skimmer?
Those are some aweful small pictures. Are they bigger on your laptop? You should host them on www.imageshack.us or else www.photobucket.com and provide a link to them here. Both sites are free, Photobucket requires a username and password, imageshack doesn't, but it is helpful for keeping track of your pictures.
What are you trying to do with the plugs? Are you trying to stop them up?
I made them slmaller so there wouldn't be server issues. I can increase the size.
I want to get threaded caps for them so that I can control the amount of water that escapes. One of the 2 skimmers has "sagged" over the years and is slightly lower, so water escapes through these vents sooner than it should.
