Replace wet end with motor?

Hi All,

I just recieved a 2 spd 3/4 hp AO Smith BN36 to replace a 2 spd BN37 (Labeled 1.5 HP .18 SPL, but according to AOSmith its only 1HP) The old moter only worked at low speed after a brown out last month. The 3/4 HP motor seems just as if not more powerful than the 1.5 HP motor.

Do I need to replace the wet end also since I went down in HP? I think the impeller in my wet end says 1 HP. Would using an impeller rated for 1 HP cause a 3/4hp motor to strain/overload?
