Solar Panel Install: Part 3 (final post)
So, to wrap this up, some final thoughts.
This was a fairly intensive endeavor; it took me six full days. However, I was working alone; I figure a couple of days could have been shaved with the addition of one other person.
I had offers of help, but it has been in the mid-90's here and I wasn't going to ask any of my friends to endure the high heat up on my roof.
Hard job, but definitely worth it - I figure I saved $2k-$3k. The pool is presently at 90 degrees without a cover, and I expect to swim in water of a temperature of at least 80 degrees nine months of the year. Payback should be in the 12 month range.
Now, to finish the patio cover.

Excellent!
Please keep us posted on how well it works, I suspect you will have teh unit shut off for most of the summer, but it would be nice to know how well it's extending your swim season as well as teh types of temperatures you're able to get come cool weather.
