Seems that draining and replacing about 9000 gallons was worth the effort. Using the Bleach Calculator, I'm trying to get the FC levels up to 20 to shock it and clear out the algae that has been plaguing me for months(and draining my wallet in the process-I got pool stored), I added 5 gallons of bleach.
I'll check it in a bit to see how the FC is looking. Any other suggestions?
Re: Water Sample results after 1/2 water change
Nice work. Don't be too surprised if you consume a lot of chlorine this first evening. If you're a night owl, you can speed the process a little by testing just before you go to bed.
After all that, I remember now you've kept some Cl in there already so you may, in fact, lose very little. We'll all be interested in tomorrow's test results. :)
Re: Water Sample results after 1/2 water change
Thanks Dave, I thought I'd move my information up here where it belongs instead of the other forum. Hope they don't mind too much.
I'll be up a little late tonight anyway, but I gotta get up early for traffic court tomorrow. Dang HPD speed traps.

Well, that 6 bottles of bleach went quick.
Just checked before bed and FC is down below 2.
Guess I'm heading back to get a few more cases of bleach.
