timer not running
I've got a new pool - it's been running for a few months now, and I have been turning the pump on/off manually, thinking I'd get around to setting the times on the timer one of these days.
Well, I went to do it the other day, and it turns out the timer isn't running at all. I called my electrician (who ran the electric last Oct., so I am sure he doesn't want to hear from me) and left a message ... no response.
Is this something I can do myself, and if so, how? I know nada about electric anythings - well, enough to know I'd need to turn everything off at the main breaker before attempting to fix this.
Help?

Re: timer not running
Did the timer ever work properly? If it did then you can probably take care of the fix. Switching out the timers is pretty easy. The intermatic timers you can find at any half decent electrical supply place. Can you test the voltages with a volt meter at the terminals to make sure your clock motor is getting current?

yes it is ...
Thanks - I didn't even think about testing it - shows that I really shouldn't even be poking around there, I guess. I had my son do it though ... my bad, it's working. = ) I didn't notice the teensy tiny little wheel that was going around way in the back. How embarassing!
Thanks again,
Valerie
