HELP ME PLEASE!! New house/inground pool owner needs help with everything.

Hello all... recently bought a house that has an inground pool. (Rectangle pool, 37.5 ft x 19.5 ft, approx 33,000 gal). To say the pool was neglected by the previous owners is an understatement. Had several estimates by local companies on resurrecting the pool. Ordered new liner yesterday (being professionally installed, and owner has also agreed to install/replace for a small fee, any other equipment we order ourselves ) and requesting help with a few other details...any input is greatly appreciated.
First, upgrading to a VS pump as current pump isn't operational. If I'm understanding, since I have limited space in pump room, I need an offline chlorinator. What size do I need?
Second, pool startup/chemicals for summer... better to order kit or seperate chemicals? What chemicals do I need for startup/summer maintenance? What about the AquaPill?
