Tangled Vac Hose

I have an in ground play pool 36' X 15', 5' deep in the center with pebble tec finish. Problem is the hose ties itself in a knot every time the pump is on. I have a Hayward pool Vac cleaner and it is functioning well. Have I missed something? The hose appears to be in decent condition and is about three years old. I have taken it out pulled each section apart and let it sit on the patio trying to get the memory out of it and the next day its tied up again. I even did the reverse twist when its tangled and still it tangles. Thanks for the help.
