I'm designing my 1st pool and trying to learn as much as I can

Hello! My name is Josh and my wife and I are in the beginning stages of designing our first pool. I'm a total noob, so I'm trying to learn as much as possible. At this point I'm most interested in learning about construction, pool equipment, materials (decking, coping, plaster etc) and SWCGs. There are a lot of posts on SWCGs that I don't have access to and I'd like to read them. This will be an in ground gunite pool with spa. I'm currently leaning towards an SWCG (but I have reservations). I live in Plano Texas so I have strong sun and long hot temperatures.
