Intex pool filter leaks constantly

Hello. I'm new. I have a 10' Intex inflatable pool with filter. The filter is constantly leaking from the top and today I see I lost a lot of water. I'm not sure if it was due to the filter or if I have another leak somewhere. But so far the only water I see coming out is from the filter. I've changed the filter several times. We have very dirty water here. But it still leaks. Is there any way to use the pool without the filter even hooked up? This would help me determine if the leak is the filter or the pool itself.
