new member needs advice

hello there, i need some advice on my situation. i have a vinyl lined in-ground pool that was not installed by professionals. the plaster underneath is very rough and i had a few holes. i drained the pool and patched the holes i could find but a day and a half in the sun seemed to really shrink my liner. i had it all tucked into its rails but could not suck it flat to the walls so i tried adding water and it pulled out in a few spots. i live on an island so no professional help available. you guys are my only hope. is there anything that can be done? what?
