Weir door replacement

I would like to replace the broken, original weir door in our old Anthony Pools skimmer. The old door is in pieces and what I have left is not enough for me to determine the dimensions I need. Our normal water level is about 6-1/4" above the bottom of the skimmer housing and the width of the skimmer housing is about 8". I cannot seem to find any spring-loaded weir doors that are tall enough to be above the water level when the pump is off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
