Installing shut off valves
A thought occurred to me yesterday that I should install shut off valves from the pool to the pump and from the saltwater generator to the pool in order to service the saltwater generator more efficiently. I am no plumber by any means so I need some advice. As noted below I have a Legacy 10,000 gallon above ground pool. The inlet and outlet ports are either 1-1/2" PCVC, PVC or plastic (I'm no expert!) and they are not threaded. All hoses are attached to all pool and equipment fittings with metal hose clamps.
Is there a way to install shut off valves and if so, I need some guidance.
Thanks!

Without seeing the plumbing it is hard to tell. PVC is incredibly easy to work with. Flexible PVC, aka, TigerFlex is the same. But other materials require a fitting to transition to PVC.
