First after winter opening of AG pool, GREEN SWAMP HELP

Intex AG, 15'x42" (I believe). Been registered on this awesome forum since last summer, when I first bought pool. Started right away with the BBB method, and had an awesome first year with the pool, only had 1 little algae problem, due to me being very busy for a few days. I don't think I closed the pool properly as it now looks like a nice, green swamp! Over winter, bought a bigger pump, 2500 gallon, cartridge "B" type pump. have all things needed per the start up thread (Dichlor granules, bleach, borax, unicel cartridges). Haven't done any water testing yet, and have been reading through threads, trying to figure out how to open the pool, killl the algae. Looking for a step by step. Test, x amount of y, do I run pump without the filter while killing algae, etc. Please, someone help me get this pool cleared up and opened so we can enjoy the already hot weather we have here in GA. Thanks.
