Ta level and acid requirements

I know that the PH and TA should be kept within certain ranges to keep the pool balanced properly. My question is: Will the amount of acid required over time, be affected if the TA is kept at the high or low end of it's required range? Or does the amount of acid required over time, not affected by the TA level?
My pool: 27,000 gal, plaster. I use an oxidation/ionization system with one qt. of chlorine added per week. I add some SeaKlear phosphate remover every week. I have been very successful with this method for 5 years. I use a "The Pool Cleaner" to clean the bottom and a Solar Breeze to clean the surface. I think the Solar Breeze is the greatest thing since sliced bread. It practically eliminates have to use the net every day.
