Any recommendations on what winter cover and pillow to use?

I'm looking to cover and use a pillow on my 18x34 AG. I thought of using the 4x15 pillow since the pool is so long.

Any thought on what make of cover and pillow to use? Wasn't sure it the maker of them would make any difference.

I was told I don't need to cover, just drain below the skimmer, but I just cannot get it out of my head that the pillow is needed for ice expansion. I would rather not cover though.
