Hope this is right chlorine test
Ok I asked for testing bleach and I got an answer from Watermom and according to Anna .....Goes as follows
1.10 ml of bleach to 1 liter water
2.Mix together and 10 ml of THAT solution mix with water
3. Test using 25ml in 2006 kit
Ok I did that and I used distilled water, being very careful. The bleach was home depot brand 2 bucks a gallon. And I was surprised I checked 25ml. IT TOOK 50 DROPS MEANING 10.0
I can believe this bleash is this strong. Did I mess up? I want to know so I don't buy it or keep duying it. Thankd Dave G
Re: Hope this is right chlorine test
You may not have. I prefer to add 1 ml of the bleach (using a glass eyedropper) to 10 liters of water--that's 5 soda jugs-- into a 5 gallon bucket. I stir it up well before I test it.
I test it just as I test chlorine in the pool, using the 10ml line and 1 drop = .5ppm of FC.
The key is to remember that PPM is Parts Per Million. 1 ml of bleach in 10,000 ml (10 liters) is the same ratio as 1 gallon of bleach in 10,000 gallons of water.
Since 1 gallon of (say) 8.25% bleach adds 8.25ppm of FC to 10,000 gallons, so 1 ml of 8.25% bleach adds 8.25ppm of FC to 10,000 ml.
That's just how I figure.

That sounds more like it. Ive gotta try again, but I need to be right on this. Thanks Carl, much appreciated Dave G.
