Advice on a new pool
Hello, I am in the market for an above ground pool. I don't need/want that big. I was looking for a round 15 foot, 48" or 52" depth. I want to spend around $1,200.00. Is that possible? Any good recommendations? For example I would love opinions on the Heritage pools Also can I make any above ground pool salt water, by buying the special generator, or do I need to buy a certain kind of pool? Thank you for any help you can give!

Re: Advice on a new pool
Intex sells an SWCG specifically for their type of pools. Other pools can just use any SWCG I think but just be aware, that having an SWCG on some AG pools voids the warranty. We actually think it is kinda good to just learn how to manage your pool manually the first season and then add an SWCG in future years if you want. But, it's up to you.
(If you do get an Intex pool and SWCG, disconnect the copper electrode. It is copper and not chlorine like most people think that stains things and turns blonde hair green!)
Go ahead and order a good test kit. The one we recommend is the Taylor K2006 or 2006C (better buy). Not available locally but you can get it through this link:> http://pool9.net/tk/
Also, read up on our Super Simple Startup Recipe which would be an ideal way for your to start up your pool even if you do get an SWCG. Information about the recipe can be found here:> http://pool9.net/ssr/ (It is not just for Intex pools but rather can be used on any freshly filled pool.)
