8'x30" Intex easy set pool Chemical maintenance

Hello,
I setup an Intex 8'x30" pool and I've been using it for about a week now. I've noticed the water has gotten a little bit cloudy, and the water has turned a yellowish tinge and the walls are a tiny bit slimy. I was reading the guides here and they all seem to be fore 2500+ gallon pool setups. The 8'x30" pool is only about 700 gallons tops. What is the right way to maintain this pool? Is it really just using bleach and borax? Do I need the stabilized chlorine granules? I have a testing kit for the pool which checks chlorine, borine, ph, and two other tests. I can get the readings if that would help. Also I have the pool up on my deck and while I don't worry about chlorine doing damage to the deck I do worry about it cleaning the grass if I need to empty excess water. Is there anything I can do about that?
