Upgraded skimmer lid cover
I am researching skimmer lids for our new pool - I don't like the look of the ugly white skimmer covers. Has anyone used the pour-a-lid skimmer covers? If so what kind of decking do you have? Does it look nice? They seem to look really good compared to the white ugly skimmer covers.
Re: Upgraded skimmer lid cover
Hi and welcome to the Pool Forum!
I have never heard of pour-a-lid skimmer covers so unfortunately can't help. I've never even heard them mentioned here on the forum but maybe someone knows something.
You can search if you want. Not sure if you'll find anything but doesn't hurt to try. This link will search all of the forum plus our sister website www.poolsolutions.com. Until your registration is completed, you will have to copy that link and paste it in a browser window after you first log out as you won't be able to follow the link.

Re: Upgraded skimmer lid cover
I've never seen 'pour-in' lids, at least not on standard pools. I have seen custom rock covers on very high end pools -- but they are fragile and hard to use.
You can get tan skimmer covers for most Hayward skimmers, like this one. I've never checked to see if they are available for Jandy or Pentair skimmers.

These are the covers I had made up for my skimmers by the travertine installer

Re: Upgraded skimmer lid cover
@Martin: thanks!
@Kinleysmom: As I mentioned, I have seen skimmer lids made up like Martin has. If you go that route, remember to have spares made - they tend to be either fragile, very heavy . . . or both.
