New light for an old pool?

My brother has a 16x32 inground vinyl pool with poured concrete surround. He doesn't have an in pool light, but would like one. He tried these pool returns that have led lights in them but they don't really add light to the pool, they just provide some accent lighting. He doesn't want to incur the expense of having a niche retrofitted to his pool, even if it is possible.

I told him if anyone would know about adding lights at a reasonable cost the folks on this forum would.

Hi TomC there is a product by SmartPool called a Nitelighter which attaches to the deck and then hangs down into the pool if you do a Google search for "NA415 Light" then you should be able to see examples of this light and if it would work for your application.
