Cloudy water after ascorbic acid treatment and sequesturant

Hey guys...
My pool tested positive for iron and was stained. Last week I used ascorbic acid by lowering FC to 0 ph to 7.0 which cleared the stains beautifully. I understood I had to add a sequesturant also. Pool store recommended Sparkle Conquest. Followed directions ran filter 24/7 now pool is completely cloudy with a powdery residue. I used baking soda and borax to raise ph to 7.2. Bleach to raise FC to 3.0. I swept pool and have been running the filter. Still cloudy. In the meantime is it safe to swim in? I know it's not a good idea if cloudy because ya can't see the bottom but what about the chemicals?
