Concrete decking sealer in pool water

A new stamped concrete deck was installed around my pool in Fall 2004. After the 4th try at applying stain & sealer, the contractor (a lousy one) is now pressure washing the layers of stain/sealer he applied off. Some of the solvent & chemicals are being blown into the pool (although he is trying not to do this.) I was told a product called "First Aid for Pools" will isolate these chemicals and remove them from the pool & filter. Has anyone had experience with this product?
