liner questions for above ground
Hello, We moved into a house with a 27' above ground pool. It needs a liner. When I measure the height at the edge of wall, it is about 50". This pool had a drain in the center of the pool, which we will be removing. We've been told by the neighbors that they lost the pool water more than once in the winter when that drain, full of water froze. Anyhow, when we measured the height in the middle of the pool, it is roughly 54". So I am wondering if I need to buy a special expandable type liner, or if a regular liner would be ok.
If anyone has recommendations of specific brands, and places to buy online, I would really appreciate it too!
Re: liner questions for above ground
You can always level the pool bottom before you install the new liner, and just have 48" of water everywhere. Especially, I would think, if you are removing and not re-using the bottom drain.
Re: liner questions for above ground
Thanks for the reply. I could level it out to about 52 I guess. It would be really hard to add sand as a truck couldn't get close to the pool and it would need a lot. Are there any particular brands of liners you would recommend?
Re: liner questions for above ground
is there a way I can post in a forum that will get views? FOr some reason about the whole site disappeared when I logged in. Not very user friendly in my opinion!
Re: liner questions for above ground
Once Ben completes your registration (hopefully today), he will move your post into the correct section of the forum where everyone will be able to see it. And, at that time, you will also be able to see the whole forum while logged in. Sorry it doesn't seem user-friendly but it is an attempt to verify the identity of new members to make sure they aren't hackers. Only a temporary nuisance.
Re: liner questions for above ground
any chance I'll be able to use this website? It's been about a week and I can't access much of anything.
