Question re: Taylor K-1766 Salt test
I just used this test for the first time. The first drop of Silver Nitrate caused a precipitate that I was not expecting. As I continued to titrate, the sample turned almost milky in color, and on the 17th drop it turned a reddish milky color so I stopped.
Is this normal? 17 x 200ppm = 3,400 ppm which is about right, but I am not sure the test was good. Anyone with experience with this test?

Re: Question re: Taylor K-1766 Salt test
EXACTLY RIGHT! The silver nitrate is causing silver chloride to precipitate, making the solution cloudy. Once all the chloride in the sample has reacted and precipitated out that final drop of silver nitrate will cause silver chromate to form, giving the red color.
