I have a Pool cartridge that has to be cleaned, rather than just rinsing it off.
What kind of solvent do I use?
Thanks, RTonk

TSP works the best for me but it can be hard to find the real stuff anymore. They have a substitute now that is more environmentally friendly but like most things, it doesn't work very well.
A lot of people used to soak them in electric dishwasher detergent.
If you have access to a pressure washer, try pressure washing it
I would avoid a powered pressure washer. A standard hose with a nozzle is fine but most pressure washers have enough power to easily tear the fabric in a cartridge filter.
Here are the instructions you need:

Using a pressure washer can destroy cartridges instantly. Here are some 2013 pics of cartridges at a local fitness center that had been pressure washed:

These were very expensive StaRite System3 cartridges. They had multiple filters, and had to spend over $2,000 buying a single new set for all filters.
No, I would NEVER pressure-wash a cartridge. Better to soak it in a container with electric dishwasher detergent then rinse it with a hose.
My rather small pressure washer can easily strip paint and even splinter wood surfaces if held too close.
