11 yo max-e-therm heater started leaking from the HLS. Went to remove the wires and half of the HLS came off (it broke off right at the hex). Am assuming the threaded portion is still in the body.
Has anyone encountered this before? If so, how did you successfully remove the remaining piece, hopefully without having to remove the manifold???
Also - is it my imagination, or are these custom sized union couplers to the heater? Makes my life worse....
