Best way to remove Calcium Deposits
Over the past season i've developed what appear to be Calcium Deposits benieth my spillway.
I'm sure this is a common problem.
Does anyone have a recommended way of removing chemically removing these deposits? I had limited success with CLR.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Best way to remove Calcium Deposits
Usually an acid wash should take care of it. Start with a 5:1 acid to water ratio and if that does not work move up gradually to higher concentrations.

Mark,
Thanks for the reply. My only concern with using Acid (HCL) is if the 5:1 will damage the grout. That would be BAD.

If the concentration is too high, then you can damage the grout but at 5:1, it should not be a problem. I have used 2:1 before with no damage.
