Trouble with Chemtrol PC3000
New user so this may be a simple fix, I just haven't been able to figure it out. I've got a 2100gal spa balanced with a Co2 feeder and Pulsar calcium hypochlorite feeder, controlled through a Chemtrol PC3000. For some odd reason, my system won't feed the cal-hypo while the controller is set on auto. Checked the solenoid and it's functioning fine, but when set on auto, the float gauge doesn't budge. When set on manual, the system feeds properly, so the setup functions as it should. The only thing I can think that it might be is a setting within the controller that is incorrect. I have 2 spas with identical setups and the issue is the same on both, no autofeed.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
Re: Trouble with Chemtrol PC3000
Sorry, but problems with commercial ORP/pH control systems are not something I choose to tackle here.
Among other things, I'm almost the only one here who knows anything about them. You could post on poolspaforum.com - they have lots of pool industry members. Just be careful; most people who speak about ORP based control systems only know what the product manufacturers have told them . . . and a lot of it is bogus. Jacques Steininger at ChemTrol was quite a effective a few years back in promoting some serious misinformation about the applicability of ORP sensing to pool control.
