CYA test
Just put in new liner so total refill(26,000 gal) added bleach until it was in range next I added 4 CHLOR-GUARD pucks (1 per 5000 gal) still some of 1 left. I know I need to add more plus we just had so much rain my pool overflowed and then I had to pump some water out but did the test for CYA anyway. The water didn't cloud up at all,I'm using the taylor with 3rd season regents(always kept in basement). What do you think bad regents/not enough pucks to show CYA yet or both? Thanks

Re: CYA test
Assuming you are using the Taylor R0013 reagent system, no cloudiness = no CYA. So far as I know, the R0013 does not deteriorate.
However, if your pool water is clear, it's easy to verify this: just add a couple of gallons of bleach early AM on what is to be a fully sunny day. Test an hour later, and again at the day's end. If there is CYA, there will still be quite a bit of chlorine left. If there is no CYA, the chlorine will have almost completely disappeared.
