Refilling with Reclaimed Water Possible?

Hi, has anyone used reclaimed water to top off their pool? I've tried to research this question but the google responses end up coming from municipal websites, and of course they all say NO to using reclaimed water to fill pools. I just dont really understand why it is so detrimental to use this if it's supposed health issues, when sometimes we are bringing back a swamp which is beyond nasty and full of bacteria/algae/frogs/snakes and we later swim in that after clorine reatment. I've also read that the nitrates are too high which promotes algae growth, but I read that this is a myth and some reclaimed water actually has less nitrates. So my question to the pool experts here is, is it ok to use reclaimed water to top off the pool? Has anyone else done this? Does the water company just have that rule due to government requirements for a safety issue and potential lawsuits and it really doesn't matter since it will be treated with clorine? From what I have read about the refiltering process of my own county's reclaimed water, it appears to be safer than rain water which ends up filling my pool all summer long. I just hate pouring money down the drain so to speak by using potable water to top off my pool.
