Need help with Threaded Barb Hose Connectors
The lines that go from the intake to the chlorinator and back in the outtake of my plumbing are connected by 1/4" ID X 1/4" MIP threaded barbs that seem to break very often. I've gone to the local hardware store for replacements, but they don't last very long due to the chlorine (I'm guessing).
Where can I get reliable replacement parts without having to buy a whole "kit"?
Thanks!
Re: Need help with Threaded Barb Hose Connectors
The only fittings I've used in service like that that WERE reliable were Jaco Kynar fittings. They are quite expensive, but I used them when I set up chlorine feed systems for large (>100,000 gallon). I bought them direct -- but I bought a LOT.
US Plastics sells them: http://goo.gl/Z1fkD
These are a permanent fix, in my experience, and will outlast the tubing AND the chlorinator.
