pool has a odd color
Just filled my pool up in the last 12 hours, This morning I noticed a green tint.
It is a Gray 14ft by 4ft Intex metal frame, I have had a 15ft and it didn't do this when I filled it, I have done 2 shocks and I have a chlorine tab floating in the pool. and it is still a shade green,
I have city water and I noticed it half way during the fill but it looked more red then green, by morning it looked a green shade. not a brite its like a dull shade, not algie, just bubbles on the side from being a fresh fill up

Re: pool has a odd color
Sounds like a low level of iron -- possibly from old city water pipes.
1. Keep your pH low. (7.0 - 7.4)
2. Run your filter as much as possible.
If it's iron, you'll see it on your filter as a rust colored deposit.
You can swim, as long as your chlorine is OK. Just don't wear any white or very light colored suits that iron would stain.
