Getting Ready For Summer...

so today was the first day we have actually used the pool this year here in FL. yeah its FL and hot but i dont have a heater and the water has ( in the past couple of weeks ) felt warm enough for a swim.

im coming up on my one year anniversary of being ALGEA FREE!

here are my current numbers.

FC = 10.5
PH = 7.7/7.8
TA = 80/90
CYA = 60/70 this was the first time i measured CYA since last year.

i liked having my CYA high last year, and i see that my PH is higher than last year as i ran almost one year with a PH of around 7.4

so, im going to use some trichlor pucks to slowly bring up my CYA and lower PH a bit. i will still be using malmart bleach for my main source of cholrine though... sound like a plan?

by the way the ONLY thing i have purchased from a pool store in the past year is some R-0871!
