Liquid Chlorine?
I've seen this "new" product called Liquid Chlorine and wondered what you guys thought about it. Would it be the same as adding bleach from the grocery store like I have been doing? Are there any downsides? One odd thing I noticed is that it is made from powdered chlorine mixture. You can see it here: http://www.amazon.com/Instant-Liquid...dp/B008B9JNDM/

Re: Liquid Chlorine?
It is merely Cal-Hypo powders, at 73% strength. Nothing more. It will consistently increase the calcium level in your pool, and when that calcium gets too high it will cause scaling and cloudy water. Everything else about the ad is hype. Also Cal-Hypo at that strength must be used VERY carefully and any contamination by other forms of chlorine, except when dissolved into the pool, can be deadly dangerous.
We have many discussions here of the uses and value of Cal-Hypo as a chlorinator.

Re: Liquid Chlorine?
It is kind of funny that they label it as liquid chlorine when it's a powder! Maybe an April 1st joke by in the swim?
