Jandy One touch not working

I have an Aqualink system with a Jandy One touch in the house. It's about 5 years old. All of a sudden my one touch went dead. I purchased another and it would not fire up. Thinking it might be a wiring issue, I bypassed my existing wires and ran a 1ft' test direct to the outdoor system and it fired and worked properly (both old and new).

Went back in the house, thinking it was one wire and bypassed each one individually with no luck.

My wiring from the house to the backyard Pool equipment is 100% enclosed.

I'm just wondering if perhaps there is some sort of booster that may not be working?

It's weird to me that it works when close, but not when far away.
