Closing AG Intex 12x30 pool

First, I would like to just thank you for all your help and patience this summer. It was my first time owning and maintaining a pool. I was able to upkeep and bring back from algae (we went away and the pool was supposed to be cleaned and bleached, etc. didn't happen) but we got it back and were able to enjoy the remainder of the summer. So thank you so much.

We would like to close the pool. I wanted to know the proper procedure to do so. I was thinking of completely draining and taking down the metal frame and storing until next summer. I read a thread that said this ruins the vinyl. We get significant snowfall where we live, so I thought completely taking it down would be best.

I appreciate any advice you may have.
