New pool

I grew up with a pool at my parents house so I am familiar with the whole pool maintenance process. This pool has a Hayward chlorine feeder and I cant seem to figure out what number to keep the dial at to maintain a constant level. I am thinking about ditching the feeder and going to a floating unit. Let me know what you all think???

In my experience, Hayward chlorine tablet feeders are badly designed and an endless source of problems. I'd recommend using floaters, skimmer tablets, or a Pentair / Rainbow feeder.
