Hayward Perflex EC-75 - cracked flextubes?
Some of the flextubes in my EC-75 seem to be cracked inside. The mesh cover is not damaged, but for some of the flextubes the plastic structure inside seems to be broken. They are broken near the top where the tubes meet the "nest." I have found at least 5 so far like this.
It looks like the mesh is what does the actual filtering, so I am wondering if the flextubes will still function even with a cracked plastic interior? Or rather do I need to check every tube and replace all the broken ones?

Okay so I went to a pool store and they said as long as the mesh is intact it should work fine. Installed the nest with the 13 "broken" flextubes and so far it has been working excellently *knock on wood.*

Do you get temporary 'blowback' of dirty DE thru the return jets when starting the filter after it's been off for a while?
