Deck supports on/near buttress supports

Hi -

When I'm done installing my pool, I'd like to install a deck on one side of the oval (15x30).

The deck will be 5x10 long. So basically, the first 7.5 feet of the deck will be the radius of the end of the pool.

The remaining 2.5 feet will be on the straight side of the pool.

The problem I *may* run into is that one of my deck supports (deck blocks) may be on/near my buttress supports.

Is putting a deck block on top of/near a buttress support a bad idea? Obviously I wouldn't put it right on the buttress itself, but maybe on the patio stone or in between buttresses.

I'm not sure if that makes sense or not...
