Issue with Tracker cleaner?

I have a 4-wheel Tracker that I've been using for a few years now. When it gets to the base of the wall, the wheels keep turning until it automatically reverses, sometimes a few seconds or more. I believe this has caused the vinyl liner to be pulled down the side enough to create creases on the floor of the pool in the deep end where the wall meets the angled bottom.

We are having the liner replaced due to an issue with the steps (another thread) and I don't want to have the same issue. The company installign the liner says it can't be the Tracker but there is no doubt in my mind that that is what caused it. Anybody else experieince this with the TRacker?
