Fittings are yellowing...returns and drains

Hi All,

I am a practicer of the BBB...My vinyl lined pool has never been cloudy and maintenance has been a snap for 7 years.. It is a heated pool. I have found my PVC fittings going yellower each year, however my steps and ladded steps are AOK. What is causing the discoloration and can i reverse it?

Mine do the same thing. I was assuming it was staining from some minerals in the water, and was actually planning on replacing them next year since they're fairly inexpensive.

I just think the get yellow with the choline, and age. You can try rubbing some vitamin c tablets on them to see if they turn white. It would not be worth doing an ascorbic acid stain treatment if that is the only yellow you have. Just crush up some vitamin c and put it in a sock and rub.
