Saving money on salt

Currently, I buy a 40lb bag of finely granulated salt at our local Pinch-a-Penny for $10 a bag. A different Pinch-a-Penny sells coarser salt for $8/bag. My equipment manufacturer (Jandy) says to avoid salt with Yellow Prussiate (I think that's what it's called?), and the Pinch-a-Penny salt doesn't have that ingredient in it (another nearer pool store sells salt with that Yellow stuff in it).

What's the cheapest way to buy large amounts of salt that work properly with a SWCG, and don't have that Yellow Prussiate in it?

Walmart has the cheapest morton pool salt @ 6 bucks. You cant beat that.

Sam's club sells pool salt for 5.49 for a 40 lb bag

Water softener solar salt is much cheaper. Just make sure it doesn't have any additives.

I used that one time and while it was cheaper, it was much coarser and seemed to take a long time to dissolve. Although more expensive, I much prefer the finer stuff.

For no more than I need to add, I stick with the Morton Pool Salt. Do you drain and refill every year?

I put mine in the skimmer and it dissolves in a few minutes with the pump running.
