jacuzzi filter problem ?'s

has anyone had problems with the jacuzzi sand filter L225? i have from day one, since 2002, got sand back in my pool from the return lines when i run my pump all night. i've been the whole route with them to no avail. it's not the laterals or the stand pipe and hub or even the kind of sand i use. a pool guy yesterday told me jacuzzi had to replace hundreds of bad multi-port valves on top of these filters due to the problem i was having. i talked to jacuzzi(cantar) about this and nobody there knows or wants to say anything. i'm getting rid of this filter because i've reached my tolerance limit and am going back to a hayward filter with zeobrite in it. any thoughts on all of this? thanks Randy
