what kind of auto cleaner? pressure or suction?

Above ground, flat bottom? I love my Robo Kleen. It's powered by a transformer and a cord. It rolls back and forth around the pool sucking debris off the floor into it's internal filter bag. The first one I had stopped moving after three years and I bought another. There may be others in the market but I'm happy with ours in spite of the relatively short life of the first one (the second one is on it's second season).

I have a couple of different ones, each good at a different thing.

I have a Polaris 65 which is good in the spring when the trees are dropping lots of debris into the pool and in the fall when the leaves start falling. But, it isn't so great at getting dirt/dust. For that, I have a Wanda the Whale and she does a good job at getting the dust/dirt. Plus, I also vacuum by hand a lot of the time which actually does a better job than either of those. However, they are great at what they do. Just a couple more options for you.
