Poly 60 in pool. Filter or Recirculate?

Last fall I put POLY 60 in and set to recirculate per pool store when I closed my pool. Now, I just put poly 60 in and the pool lady says set to filter. UH?
What am I missing here?

I would like to know also.
I have to add some, I guess we could add, then recirculate for 6 hours to stir and distribute, then go to filter?
Anyone?

Your reponse is what I did. Recirculated for 6 hours and then set to filter.
I brought this up because the pool store told me last fall that poly 60 would gum up my filter, hence set to recirculate.
I have come to the conclusion that poly 60 is unnessasary for my pool, and I will just use bleach.

I have always just used filter, never heard otherwise and has always seemed to work without problems.

I only use 2 quarts a year, one quart when I close the pool and another quart when I open the pool, seems to help keep the algae away away and then clear the water at opening.
