We are in the final stages of planning our install, and looking for advice on pool lighting. Are mosquitos attracted to a white light? Should we opt for the color light option? We are going to install a Leisure pool that is Australian blue. Thanks.

Just popping in to say hello. I don't know about your lighting question but hopefully someone will be along soon who will. Welcome to the Pool Forum and thanks for the subscription!
Mosquitoes are primarily attracted Carbon Dioxide, Lactic acid, and heat. Also to some degree they are attracted to motion. A regular "white" pool light (e.g. halogen) is really fairly yellow, and gives a blue pool a slightly green look. Prior to switching to a LED pool light, I used something like this: http://1000bulbs.com/product/3051/Q-GY612V104210.html which has a color temp of 2800k. Here's a chart that shows you what various color temperatures look like http://www.lumicrest.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=1 . I don't think it looks bad, most pools with halogen lighting look this way. If you go with an LED, you can get a true white (or other colors). I've got a color changing LED and haven't had any worse of a mosquito problem then before I got the light working.
Other bugs may be attracted to the light, but probably not skeets.
Thanks for the advice. I see that you have the Pentair Intellibrite 5G listed in your info. This is the light that we decided on, as well.
