The Power button LED lights up, but the Generating sanitizer LED is not coming on as of late. Is the system alright or do I have a problem. Thanks, Jerry

To quote the Bioguard website, "Your Local BioGuard Dealer Knows Best"* . . . and they work very hard to keep it that way, by making maintenance and technical information as inaccessible as possible to non-dealers, INCLUDING their customers.
Bioguard is a DEALER marketing program, first and foremost. Chemtura has many other brands, including the Pool Time and AquaChem mass market (Lowes, Walmart, etc) line. But BioGuard is their 'premium' dealer-only brand that offers slicker graphics, prettier stores, and more highly trained (in marketing) representatives. They work hard to create a mystique of expertise and luxury, even though their the Bioguard products are pretty much identical -- underneath the fancy label -- to the mass market products. One of the key ways they create this mystique is by restricting access to real info about their products.
So . . . no service manual for you, unless you can wheedle one out of your dealer.
I *do* have an archive of BioGuard literature, of various provenance. We're hoping to be able to make some of it available online in 2013, but I've got to research the copyright status of what I have further. One of the OTHER things Bioguard does to protect the 'mystery' of its brand is to swing the legal bludgeon around, though not like they did before Chemtura and its forebears went bankrupt various and sundry times. Still, their legal stick is bigger than my legal stick, so I'm not willing to get into a @#$#$ match with them.
However, here's a quote from one piece of literature I have:
You might also try this search, with Google. If you are lucky, you'll be able to download some BioGuard manuals that are still floating around on the Internet. Be cautious; these are NOT the current manuals! But, act fast: if someone notices that these are available, they are likely to become UNavailable, and BioGuard does still track posts here, though not like they did in years past.Quote:
Because the production of sanitizer is affected by water temperature, it is important to check sanitizer levels during periods of unusually high or low pool water temperatures. The Mineral Springs control is designed to turn OFF at pool water temperatures below 50º F. If your pool will be below this temperature for any length of time, you must chlorinate manually.

The bioguard mineral spings SWCG is a rebranded Goldine Aquarite and the manual and info can be found frm Hayward/Goldline.
How old is your cell? When is the last time you cleaned it? Cells do wear out and heed to be replaced. Your cell is a Hayward/Goldline T15
Also, the flow switch could have gone bad. These also sometimes need to be replaced.
Posting a full set of water test results, including salt level would be helpful. Test the salt with a meter or test kit or strip and don't rely on the reading if your unit has a digital readout because if the cell is going bad or is fouled with scale deposits then your reading will not be accurate.
Thanks, Waterbear.
My cell is only 2 years old. I have cleaned it 3 times and just last week. The pool is fine but still does not show the green light on for generating sanitizer. Thanks, JERRY
Yes, Jerry, we were able to determine that the green light wasn't coming on, from your first post. It's not clear why you'd ask the same question twice, and not respond to any of the efforts to help you.
Where are the test results Waterbear asked for? Did you read the Goldline manual Waterbear linked for you? What is your water temperature?

Like I said, your response doesn't make sense . . . unless a spammer or a troll has hijacked your email and identity.
So I checked your IP, and since it was a dynamic IP , I checked the IPs near you. Other then some posts on a Harry Potter wiki, your IP doesn't have a visible bad history. But dynamic IPs can be changed easily and there are a LOT Of spammers in your immediate IP neighborhood, far more than is typical. Clearly, someone in your neighborhood is engaging in criminal Internet activity.
So, I'm banning you. Email me at poolforum AT gmail DOT com, if there's a legitimate reason why you asked the same question twice, and didn't respond to any of the first posts trying to help you.
