tested pool today
tested the pool today with my taylor test kit, here are the numbers
36,000 in ground, gunite 80 degrees
Fc 5
Tc 5
pH 7.2
TA 80
CH 260
CYA 20
I raised the pH a bit too much to 7.8  . Am using a Rainbow lifegaurd feeder with pucks as well. Not using bleach yet cuz I can buy supplies wholesale via the plumbing company I work for and it is actually cheaper to use granular and pucks.

Re: tested pool today
Trichlor pucks are acidic, so they will cause your ph to fall some. You probably don't need to add any acid at this point as the trichlor will probably take care of ph that is a little too high. And, since your cya level is only 20 for now, you can stand for it to be a little higher. The pucks will also add some cya. For now, things look fine. Just remember to keep an eye on your ph and your cya level. A cya level of 30-50 is what we recommend, so when you approach that level later in the summer, you'll want to stop the pucks and switch to chlorinating with bleach.
