Reconfiguriing a Jandy 3 way valve
For reasons too complicated to explain here, I would like to reconfigure a Jandy 3 way valve so it will completely stop the flow of water to two different jets in the pool.
Currently, the valve is set up to direct the flow of water to one of two different jets. If I position the valve between the ports a portion of the flow will be directed to both sets of jets. I would like to stop the flow of water to both sets of jets at the same time.
The valve is currently positioned so the flow enters the center port and is distributed to one or both of the two remaining ports.
Am I correct in believing if I reposition the top of the valve in the housing 180 degrees from it's current position, I can stop the flow of water completly to both sets of jets by blocking the input port?
Any and all comments are welcome. Bill

You should not have to reposition anything, just take out the stops that only allow the valve to turn 180 degrees. The valve is "open" in the direction that the handle points (there is usually the word "off" opposite the handle). Once you have 360 degree rotation of the valve just point the handle away from the center port of the valve (and "off is pointed at the center port if you have that placard installed on your valve).
