Re: go pens- eyeball angle
When I have a bunch of stuff floating on the surface, I position in to make the water circulate around the perimeter of the pool towards the skimmer. (I have a round pool.) When I am adding any bleach, borax, etc., I position it aimed downward but still kind of to the side. I also aim it downward to the side when I am trying to accumulate leaves, etc. to the center of the pool to make it easier to vacuum if I am going to do it manually or when my solar cover is on or otherwise it wants to float out of position. (I have a large circular solar cover that has been cut into fourths to make it easier to manage instead of one huge piece.) Does this help? Welcome to the forum!
Re: go pens- eyeball angle
Thanks Watermom it does help. How big is your pool? Mine is 21 round and the solar cover is a pain to put on and off as I have rails all around the pool. Does cutting the cover in fourths help out alot?
Re: go pens- eyeball angle
Mine is a 24ftAG. Having cut it into fourths makes it SO much easier to manage. I can put it on by myself which is something that was really hard to do before I cut it.
Re: go pens- eyeball angle
I do EXACTLY what Watermom does and my pool is 40'x16' rectangular. I also suggest pointing it at the surface when one is seeking to aerate the pool (part of the process of lowering total alkalinity)..
